Development Review is used to describe Planning Applications that generally require a decision from the Planning Commission or City Council. These types of application are also referred to as discretionary requests. It includes site plan reviews with modifications, variances, minor conditional use permits, conditional use permits, subdivisions, planned residential development, etc.
These applications generally take longer because the projects are often more complicated and a Planning Commission or City Council approval requires a staff report, noticing in the local newspaper and mailers to neighbors and preparation for a public hearing.
300-foot property ownership list:
(Express Mapping provides this) Applicants must prepare a certified list of property owner names, mailing addresses, and mailing labels for all properties located wholly or partially within 300 feet of the project site. The list must be compiled from the latest Los Angeles County Tax Assessor rolls, certified by affidavit, and submitted in duplicate sets of gummed labels. An inaccurate or incomplete list may result in removal from the agenda or rehearing of the case.
Radius maps (300 feet):
(Express Mapping provides this) Applicants must submit one map clearly identifying all parcels located within a 300-foot radius of the subject property boundaries. This may be provided as an additional copy of the tentative map or as pages from the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Map Book. All parcels must be numbered to correspond with the property ownership list.
Assessor maps:
(Express Mapping provides this) Applicants are required to submit three (3) copies of the most recent Assessor’s Map Book page(s) covering the proposed project site. These maps will serve as official verification of property boundaries and ownership records.
